Majorca`s best beaches

If you are looking for great beaches to relax, to swim and to enjoy the sun, then Majorca is your best bet. There are 179 beaches with a total of more than 50 km on the island.

The most popular and biggest beach is Platja de Palma in Majorca’s capital Palma. There are many bars, restaurants and clubs near the beach which means that especially at night it is frequented by a lot of young people looking to party.

The most beautiful and deserted beach is supposed to be Es Trenc in the southwest of the island. Since it is a nature protection area there are no hotel buildings surrounding this place. The beach has a length of several kilometers and is situated between dunes. There is a nice caribbean atmosphere surrounding this place. Touristic places nearby are Ses Covetes and Colonia San Jordi.

Cala Pi de la Posada is a beach in the north of Majorca nearby Cap Formentor. It is a rather small beach but supposed to be one of the most beautiful ones. Up until a few years ago it was reserved for the guests of the luxury hotel Formentor which is nearby and used to accommodate poets, artists, actors and other famous persons.
